Our beautiful adventure made us tired and thirsty and so Heiner had the great idea of driving direction Saint-Pierre to the Depaz Distillery in order to sit down at the Case Louisette and drink sugar cane juice! As Pam and Bill never had visited this area, they were delighted by the idea! It was a wonderful and refreshing break ! We all felt so thirsty and loved the sugar cane water!!! Pam and Bill decidedly love this little place and had to have their picture taken under the huge huge rubber tree that throws shade on Case Louisette. We of course finalized this visit with a rum tasting! The Ti-Punch (white rum, sugar cane sirop, ice and a piece of lime) made with the white Depaz rum was just to die for!

Notre belle aventure tirait a sa fin: nous avions soif et nous etions fatigues! Nous avons aime la suggestion de Heiner de bifurquer vers Saint-Pierre, plus precisement vers la Rhumerie Depaz (http://www.depaz.fr/pages/rhum.html ou nous avions deguste notre jus de canne il y a quelques semaines de cela avec notre ami Uwe. Ce fut une tres belle halte a la Case Louisette et nos amis Pam et Bill ont absolument adore les lieux ainsi que la degustation a la fin de la visite!!! Ils ont tellement aime qu’on les a photographies sous l’immense gommier qui ombrage ce coin de la plantation!
