Saturday night, music was streaming from the waterfront and we could no resist the temptation to check out the artists! The sounds of drums, the voices were very appealing…These were local artists (from Guadeloupe and Martinique) with songs in creole singing the rights of people and emancipation ! Music and instruments were strongly influenced by African music and the voices of these performers were just amazingly clear and strong…En soirée, des tambours et rythmes africains ont attire notre attention…nous nous sommes rendus sur place et nous sommes laisses envouter par les voix et rythmes de groupes locaux (guadeloupéens et martiniquais)….nous avons été très impressionnes par les voix, fortes et cristallines des chanteurs et chanteuses…
